SUPREME COURT VICTORY: OYEBISI ILAKA CONGRATULATES ADC LEADERSHIP AND MEMBERS

A governorship aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State, Chief Oyebisi Ilaka, has extended his congratulations to the national leadership of the party, the newly elected Oyo State executive committee, and party members across Nigeria following the Supreme Court’s affirmation of the party’s leadership.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Ilaka commended the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the ADC under the leadership of Senator David Mark and former Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, describing the court ruling as a landmark victory that reaffirmed the legitimacy of the party’s leadership structure.

He described the judgment as a triumph of justice, due process, and internal democracy within the party, noting that it further strengthens the ADC’s position as a credible opposition platform in Nigeria’s political space.

Ilaka also congratulated the newly elected Oyo State Executive Committee of the ADC led by Rt. Hon. Afees Jimoh, as well as all party leaders, stakeholders, members, and aspirants across the state.

According to him, the outcome of the legal battle has reinforced the credibility of the ADC as a viable political alternative capable of offering purposeful leadership and renewed hope to Nigerians.

“This victory stands as a clear testament to the triumph of justice, due process, and internal democracy. It further reinforces the ADC’s position as a strong and credible opposition platform, poised to offer Nigerians hope, direction, and purposeful leadership,” he stated.

The former Chief of Staff urged members of the party nationwide to remain united, focused, and committed to the growth and strengthening of the ADC ahead of future political engagements.

He emphasized that the moment calls for renewed mobilisation and collective efforts toward building a stronger political platform for national development.

“I equally rejoice with all ADC members nationwide on this significant milestone. This is a moment for unity, renewed commitment, and intensified mobilisation as we continue to build a stronger party for a better Nigeria,” Ilaka added.
