On 8th May 2026, the ADC party faithful across Oyo had gathered at the State Secretariat, Veterinary Mokola, Ibadan to elect new officers for the party at State level. And after the proceedings/election, Alhaji Yinka Olona was reelected as State Chairman through consensus.
While announcing the newly elected officers, the State Congress Chairman , Hon. Abiodun Popoola, in conjunction with Congress Committee Secretary Hon. Mrs. Olusola Titilope Alade, appreciated the leadership and stakeholders of the party for the confidence reposed in them to serve on the Congress Committee 2026.
The committee chairman, as the returning officer, informed the members that all the 57 available positions were contested unopposed.

3. Hon. Abiola Oluyemi - State Secretary
4. Barr. Bimpe Adelowo - State Publicity Secretary
5. Chief Ayobami Ojedokun - State Organizing Secretary
6. Apostle Akanbi Taiwo - State Treasurer
7. Hon. James Obasa - State Financial Secretary
8. Barr. Babatunde Dauda Jinadu - State Legal Adviser.
9. Alhaja Fatimoh Salawu - State Women 's Leader
10. Mr. Niyi Ogunbowale - State Youths Leader
11. Hon. Olaide Aderinto - State Social/Welfare Secretary
12. Pastor Abolade Adedeji - State PWD Leader
13. Dr. Oke Adebowale - Coordinator on Electoral Matters/INEC Liaison.
14. Hon. Taiwo Kehinde Olororo - State Auditor
15. Mr. Fagbenro Adewole Stephen - State Chief Whip etc.
The Congress was conducted in compliance with the judgement which restored constitutional order.
The report of the Ward and Local Government Congress was also accepted and all the elected officers from ward to local government levels were ratified.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected Chairman , Alhaji Yinka Olona thanked Oyo State members of the party for their support and the new mandate they gave to him and other elected officers.
He charged members not to waver in their commitment to party growth and to beware of the moles within the ranks of the party at all levels.
He further reiterated the need for every member to continue to mobilize the support of the public for the party to be victorious in the next general elections.
He informed the members who have an ambition to contest elections on the platform of ADC should brace up to express their aspirations now that the primary elections timetable and guidelines have been released.
