Fayose Alleges Plot to Remove Olubadan by Governor Makinde

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, has alleged a plot by the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, to remove the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rahidi Adewolu Ladoja.

Fayose made the claim in a post shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Sunday, stating that the alleged move could begin this week.

According to Fayose, the planned action would start with the issuance of a formal query to the monarch.

He alleged that the query would include several accusations, including the king’s absence at a recent event involving the coronation of High Chiefs in Ibadanland.

“I heard reliably that Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State is plotting the removal of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rahidi Adewolu Ladoja,” Fayose stated.

“The plot is to commence this week, with Government Query to be issued against Olubadan, citing his absence at the failed coronation of High Chiefs in Ibadanland two weeks ago, and other allegations.”

Fayose further added that observers would be monitoring developments closely as the situation unfolds.

“As for us, we will be watching the Sìgìdì of Seyi Makinde tó fẹ́ se eré ẹ̀tẹ́,” he added.

As of the time of this report, there has been no official response from the Oyo State Government regarding the allegation.
