ADC OLUYOLE LG HOLDS SUCCESSFUL CONGRESS, CONFIRMS NEW EXECUTIVES AHEAD OF 2027

The African Democratic Congress (ADC), Oluyole Local Government Chapter, successfully conducted its Local Government and Wards Congress on April 9, 2026, marking a major step in strengthening the party’s structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

At the congress, party executives were officially confirmed, with Comrade Adekunle Samson Oluwaseun affirmed as the Chairman of ADC in Oluyole Local Government. Other key executives confirmed include Daramola Oluremi as Woman Leader, Afolabi Tunbosun as Youth Leader, and Dr. Adio Mumini Kolawole as Public Relations Officer (PRO), alongside other executive members.


The confirmation of the executives was greeted with loud applause and overwhelming support from delegates and members across the ten wards in the local government. Representatives from the wards openly pledged their loyalty and full support to the new leadership, demonstrating unity and readiness to work for the success of the party.

The congress also witnessed the presence and support of prominent party leaders, including Leader K.K Balogun, Leader (Hon.) Ejidokun (popularly known as Iya Iseyin), Leader Alamu, Leader Alao Michael, Leader Kehinde Opara, among others, whose contributions continue to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure.


Party members expressed gratitude for the peaceful and successful conduct of the congress, giving thanks to God for a hitch-free process. Special appreciation was extended to Alhaji Olayinka Olona, the Oyo State Chairman of ADC, and the State Executives for their leadership and support. Recognition was also given to Alhaji Akindele Muhammad, the ADC Leader in Oluyole Local Government, for his continued guidance and commitment to the growth of the party.

In his acceptance remarks, the Chairman, Comrade Adekunle Samson Oluwaseun, appreciated all leaders, executives, aspirants, party members, and security personnel for their roles in ensuring the success of the congress.

Delivering his closing charge, the Chairman emphasized the responsibility that comes with leadership:

“This new office is not an opportunity to sit at home and boast, but a call to action. We must rise to our responsibilities, move from ward to ward, and work diligently to secure massive success for our party in the 2027 elections.”

He further called for unity and collective effort, urging all members to support the leadership:

“I cannot do this alone. I urge everyone to join hands with us as we build a stronger and more victorious ADC in Oluyole.”


The successful congress has further strengthened the unity of the party in Oluyole Local Government and positioned it for greater political success in the forthcoming elections.
