The African Democratic Congress (ADC), Oluyole Local Government Chapter, under the leadership of Comrade Adekunle Samson Oluwaseun, successfully held its local government meeting on Thursday, March 26, 2026, with strong attendance from party leaders, stakeholders, and members across various wards.
The meeting, which commenced at approximately 3:45 PM, was presided over by the Local Government Chairman, Comrade Adekunle Samson, who opened the session with a warm acknowledgment of party leaders present.
In his opening remarks, the Chairman respectfully recognized key stakeholders, stating:
«“I greet our great leader, Alhaji Yinka Olona, the Oyo State ADC Chairman; Barrister Bimpe Adelowo, the Oyo State ADC Publicity Secretary; all State EXCOS; our revered leader in Oluyole Local Government, Alhaji Akindele Muhammad; as well as all Local and Ward EXCOS in Oluyole Local Government.”»
The meeting served as a platform for engagement, unity, and strengthening of party structure at the grassroots level.
A major highlight of the gathering was the formal declaration of ambition by three aspirants seeking elective positions under the platform of the African Democratic Congress. The aspirants include:
- Hon. Adejumo Aniwura K.
- Hon. Ademola Samuel Dolapo
- Hon. Adeniran Olaide Ishola (Gold)
Their declarations were met with great enthusiasm as party members welcomed them warmly with drumming, singing, and energetic dance, reflecting the unity and vibrancy within the party.
In response, the leadership charged the aspirants to remain committed to the ideals of the party, uphold its values, and actively participate in party activities, particularly regular meetings, as part of building a strong and cohesive structure ahead of future elections.
Further adding to the significance of the meeting was the presentation of two bags of rice to the local government chapter by an ADC Governorship Aspirant, Hon. Alagbe Gbemileke (popularly known as “Eleniyan”), as a gesture of support and solidarity with party members at the grassroots.
The meeting also featured contributions from various leaders across different wards, who offered words of encouragement, unity, and strategic advice to members, urging them to remain focused and committed to the growth and success of the party.
The session concluded on a positive note with closing prayers, after which the Chairman expressed his appreciation to all attendees for their presence, dedication, and continued support toward building a stronger ADC in Oluyole Local Government.
