The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has clarified why some candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are seeing a “No Result Yet” status while checking their results.
Reason for the Status
In a statement issued on Tuesday, JAMB explained that the development affects underage candidates whose results have not been released.
According to the board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin:
“Results for underage candidates have not been released. When such candidates attempt to check their results, the system will return the message ‘No Result Yet.’”
Eligibility Criteria
JAMB had earlier stated that only candidates who would be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026, are eligible to participate in the UTME.
However, the board noted that exceptions may be granted for academically outstanding candidates, subject to proper evaluation.
Candidates affected by the “No Result Yet” message are advised to remain calm and await further updates from JAMB regarding their status.
