ADC Opens Sale of Nomination Forms for Congresses, Convention


The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has commenced the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for its upcoming Ward, Local Government, State Congresses, and National Convention.

In a notice signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Pa Idigo, interested members were invited to purchase forms to contest for elective positions within the party.

According to the notice, the cost of forms varies by position. At the ward level, the Expression of Interest Form costs N2,000, while nomination fees are N10,000 for Ward Chairman, N5,000 for Ward Secretary, and N3,000 for other ward officers.

For the National Convention, nomination fees are pegged at N10,000 per delegate, with each Local Government Area required to send one delegate.

The party also outlined nomination requirements, stating that aspirants must secure a specific number of nominators who will each pay a non-refundable fee of N50. Ward Chairman aspirants are to have 10 nominators, while other ward officers require five each. At the local government level, chairman aspirants need 20 nominators, while other officers require 10.

For state positions, State Chairman aspirants must have 50 nominators drawn from across the state, with at least one from each local government area, while other state officers require 20 nominators.

The notice added that the sale and submission of forms will close on March 27, 2026, with screening scheduled for March 30 to 31.

At the local government level, nomination forms cost N40,000 for Chairman, N30,000 for Secretary, and N10,000 for other officers. For state positions, forms are priced at N500,000 for Chairman, N300,000 for Secretary, and N50,000 for other officers.

The party urged all aspirants to comply strictly with the outlined guidelines and timelines.
